How to Migrate Your Podcast to Ausha From Another Host

If you think it’s impossible to migrate your podcast to Ausha from another host, think again! It’s actually super easy! 💪

There are two steps that you need to follow in order to have your podcast hosted on Ausha: importing and redirecting.

Step 1: Importing your podcast

There are two different ways to import your podcast to Ausha from another host. ✌️

The first method is if you HAVE NOT already created a show on Ausha.

Basically, after you create your Ausha account you can choose to create a new show and then you can select RSS Import and “Import existing show”. 🔄

Then enter your podcast’s current RSS feed from your previous podcast host.

After you’ve entered the RSS feed, press “Continue”.

Then you’re done with the first step! All of your publicly published episodes will be imported directly into your Ausha platform. 🥳

The second method is if you HAVE already created a show on Ausha.

First you’ll go to the settings tab and then select “RSS Import” on the side menu.

Then click on “Add RSS link”, and enter your podcast’s current RSS feed from your previous podcast hosting platform. 🔗

Click on “check the RSS link” to make sure that all of your episodes were imported correctly.

Click “Import the show”.

Once again only publicly published episodes will be imported directly into your Ausha platform, but now you’re done with the first step!

Step 2: Redirecting your RSS feed

Redirecting your RSS feed tells the listening platforms that your podcast’s RSS feed address has changed.

If you don’t redirect your RSS feed then the listening platforms will keep using your old RSS feed and then none of your new episodes will be uploaded to the listening platforms. 😢

To redirect your RSS feed you need to start by connecting to your previous podcast hosting account. 💻

Then request an RSS feed redirect of your old feed to your new feed on Ausha.

You can usually do this in settings or by contacting customer service. ⚙️

Within 15 days the redirect should be acknowledged by all the listening platforms where your podcast is distributed. 🗓️

Once that happens you can close your account on your previous podcast hosting platform.

Note: The statistics from your previous podcast hosting platform will not be transferred onto Ausha so you’ll need to keep track of them yourself before closing your account with your previous podcast host. 📊

Step 3:

Maybe you’re thinking “Wait, I thought there were only 2 steps?”

And you’re right, the third step is to just jump back into creating your podcast episodes like normal, and to use all of Ausha’s amazing features at your disposal. 💜
