Transcription on Ausha

Transcripts are essential to podcast growth: they power SEO, unlock new audiences on YouTube, and make your content accessible. But every show runs on its own vocabulary, brand names, guest names, technical jargon, whether you’re a solo creator or running a full studio.

Introducing Custom Transcription Vocabulary. Add the specific words your show uses most, get a transcript that’s automatically customized to fit every episode.

What’s New: Custom Transcription Vocabulary

Custom Transcription Vocabulary gives you complete control over your transcript’s vocabulary. Add up to 100 custom terms, brand names, guest names, technical terms, product names, and Ausha takes it from there, applying them automatically to every future episode.

One of our most-requested features is finally here, built for creators who want their transcript to reflect exactly who they are.

What You Get

  • Customized from day one: Brand names, guest names, and technical terms are reflected in every episode transcript, tailored to your show
  • Save once, apply forever: Custom terms are saved at the show level and auto-populate for every future transcription
  • Full flexibility and control: Update your vocabulary list directly from Settings whenever your show evolves
  • Works across 99 languages: Custom terms apply to all Ausha-supported languages with the same precision

How It Works

Adding custom vocabulary is simple, with no technical setup required:

  1. Add Terms During Transcription. When preparing an episode for transcription, open the “Transcribe episode” modal and add your custom vocabulary. You can add up to 100 terms! Include brand names, guest names, product names, industry-specific terminology, and the words your show uses most.
  2. Save at Show Level Select “Remember this vocabulary” once, and your terms are saved to your show, ready and waiting the next time you transcribe an episode. No repeat setup.
  3. Manage Anytime. Access your complete vocabulary list from Settings → Transcription. Edit, add, or remove terms anytime as your show evolves.

Once set, your custom terms are sent to Gladia.io, our Speech-to-Text partner, to guide the transcription toward the specific words that matter to your show.

Also New: Multilingual Transcription

Recording in more than one language? Select multiple episode languages directly in the “Transcribe episode” modal, right alongside your custom vocabulary, for transcripts that keep up with however your show actually sounds.

Three Ways Transcriptions Power Your Growth

1. Boost SEO, AEO & Platform Discoverability

Getting key terms, guest names, and product names right in your transcript improves search rankings on Google, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Metadata and transcripts that reflect your show’s actual vocabulary mean listeners searching for your brand or niche find you faster.

2. Strengthen Accessibility & Brand Trust

A transcript that speaks your show’s language demonstrates respect for your guests, sponsors, and industry, building credibility with your audience. The right terminology makes your content genuinely accessible to hard-of-hearing listeners, and to anyone who prefers reading over listening.

3. Maximize Content Repurposing

Transcripts that already reflect your show’s vocabulary turn effortlessly into blog posts, social captions, email newsletters, and more, ready to publish across channels.
